Don't forget the upcoming Spencer Swim Team Summer BBQ Social!There will be a raffle (any prizes donated will be much appreciated and all procedes go towards supporting the team) and other games. Included in ticket price; BBQ food (please let us know of any special dietary requirements e.g vegetarian).
New World Record!
From Gavin Barlow, team captain:I have a special announcement. Spencer has a new British, European and World Record!
At the Midland Masters at Leamington Spa, 25th April 1009, the Spencer ladies 280+ team broke the Medley Relay World Record by a second to set a new best of 2:56:58. I'm sure you'll join with me in applauding Grace Isaac (backstroke), Muriel Hitchcock (breaststroke), Diane Ford (fly) and Jean Howard-Jones (freestyle) for a fantastic effort.

Crystal Palace Sessions Resume! - Mon 1st June 7-9pm
Great news! Thanks to the hard work of Dave Mace and Roma Kiely we have secured a weekly 2 hour slot in the refurbished 50m pool at Crystal Palace. The first session will be on Monday the 1st of June starting at 7pm. The sessions will continue on a weekly basis every Monday thereafter until the end of August when availability will be reviewed by the facility managers. Come down for some long course training and support the club. Good attendance at this new session will help us secure a permanent slot.2009 Membership Fees Are Due!
